📩 Job Posting

  1. In general requests come from the hiring managers and or the founders. Those are expressed via Slack and calls.

  2. We need to decide

    1. Who the hiring manager (in other terms the person responsible is)
    2. What is the process (more on this in the recruitment process below)
    3. Who will need to speak to that person or who needs to be involved
    4. Where do we need to hire (London, BCN or New York) —> Note that we do not hire 100% remote
    5. What is the salary and seniority
  3. Once this request has come through we it has been decided to hire for a role, we ask the team to write a job on Workable.

Workable is a fantastic tool for recruitment! It allows to receive applicants, grade them, invite for interviews, plan call, invite team members etc This will be your bread and butter!

  4. The job on Workable are split in 4 sections:

    1. Description of the role and a section about AudioStack
    2. What you will be doing
    3. Requirements
    4. Benefits (standard, you can import from previous jobs)
  5. Once this is written, we need to fill in all the information on the Job Details eg. Location, Hybrid/Remote, Department, Office Location, Employment Type etc.

  6. The next step is to fill in the Application Form. Some information are mandatory:

    1. Desired salary
    2. Right to Work
    3. Notice Period
  7. We also always add filtering questions, this means disqualifying questions where the candidates are rejected (through an automated email coming from Hugo’s inbox) if they answer no to any questions, see example below

  8. Once the application form is completed we can then post it live! We post it both from Workable on the Free job board (please make sure to not select LinkedIn otherwise it will post it twice!) and on our own LinkedIn.

    1. For Workable, just press the Publish button (and ensure that LinkedIn is not selected from the Free job board)

      g. The last two steps are to add the Team Members on Workable, eg. anyone who will be speaking to that person and needs to review and to add the Workflow (standard for us)

⚙️The Recruitment grind

Following through the recruitment process is extremely important for two reasons:

  1. We need to keep applicants in the loop and ensure that they are moved as fast as possible through the process

  2. We need to ensure that the process moves forward smoothly with the team

    <aside>

🌶 That last point is very important! We need to be super diligent with it when organising meetings with the team, following up with candidates and ensuring that we keep the candidates engaged! The team will from time to time try to derail the process but we need to stick to it, we can of course accelerate it for the right candidates.
